Important Moments in my life.

They have shaped my passion for creativity and humanity, and made me who I am today.

Born in Denmark in 1958. I had a wonderful childhood, loving horseback riding and swimming.

Passioned about fashion and design, I opened my own fashions shops in my 20’ies. My interest for design has followed me my whole life.

I met my French husband Pierre in 1987, and we got two beautiful boys.

In 2001, we moved to France, then to Zurich, where I worked as Lifestyle photographer.

In 2011, we adventured to Papua New Guinea, where I saw a need for education and created Play Schools for the local children. It was a huge challenge to live and work in a third world country, but with amazing human experiences.

My love for photography was well rewarded those years in this land with beautiful people, different cultures, and amazing landscapes. Read More..

In Papua New Guinea, I met many wonderful women. They live in a country, where women’s rights are limited. I arranged awareness meetings to help them fight against violence and to teach them their rights in life.

My interest for humanitarian work was initiated during our stay in Papua New Guinea. With very little effort, you can change people’s life conditions.

Back in Europe , I started a Foundation called A Wish for Humanity with the goal to raise funds by selling art to finance education and protection of children around the world.

Papua New Guinea offered a lot of fantastic photography opportunities. Amongst them hidden and secret rituals and ceremonies.

As well as encounters with the locals in their villages during weddings and funerals.

We supported 4 women founded organizations; A Breeze of Hope in Bolivia, rescuing girls victims of rape. Land of Hope in Nigeria, rescuing children accused of witch craft. Greenlamp in Ethiopia, educating mid-wives and Himalayan Children in Nepal, offering free education for poor mountain children.

93 artworks were sold and 96.000€ collected. 40 artists worldwide donated generously their art for us to sell for fundraising. My own art was sold as well.

In 2020, I participated in my first photo workshop in Myanmar, with Steve McCurry as the leading photographer. My passion for travel / street photography was born or more correct, my passion for meeting people from around the world was established.

Since the first workshops, I have been traveling to Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Cuba, Japan and the Caribian Islands to capture moments of emotion during encounters with the local population.

Not every journey changes a place.

Some journeys change the way we look at people.”
