About
Hello,
Welcome to my creative universe.
I was born in Denmark in 1958, and I’ve always been fascinated by fashion and design. I’m a passionate photographer and painter, and practicing both.
I travel every year to different countries to do photography. I love Asia, especially for its natural beauty and the gentle and respectful people. I also take the time to be creative in other ways. I participate in Art Events, where I sell my abstract paintings or my photography to collectors around the world.
After 25 years as an independent fashion shop owner in Denmark, I had the chance to travel and live around the world with my husband, and my interest in exotic traveling was born.
The last stop was 4 years in Papua New Guinea from 2011-15, where there was a lack of education, so I created Playschools for the local children and conducted several meetings for the local women to teach them about their rights, family planning, etc. My deep interest in doing humanitarian work started here. Especially the welfare of children is close to my heart.
In 2013, I wrote in an email to my parents from Papua New Guinea:
“Yesterday, I went to our local market to photograph. I have decided to make a photo series with women and children, but I always end up photographing mostly the children. I would like to find a humanitarian organization to which I can donate some of my photos, which they could sell in favor of children in need”.
In 2021, I created A Wish for Humanity, a French-registered foundation to help finance the education and protection of children worldwide by selling art. We are supported by more than 40 international artists who generously donate their artwork to help us raise money. All sales from my artwork are donated entirely to A Wish for Humanity.
We’ve organized 10 art events, 96.000 € has been collected through the sales of more than 90 pieces of artwork, as well as donations offered by generous people. The money has been donated to 4 charity organizations: A Breeze of Hope, Bolivia. Himalayan Children, Nepal. Greenlamp, Ethiopia, and Land of Hope in Nigeria. The Foundation is now closed, but I continue to support organizations helping children.
In September 2025, I opened an atelier in my hometown, La Croix Valmer. The atelier is a great place for me to work on my creative projects, as well as a meeting point for other artists to meet up, to inspire, and support each other.
Enjoy your stay on my site,
Love…Lisbeth
